I don't know how you memorize all this but if you manage to make this information transfer into your drawing than it worth it.It think it best to take note as well as draw it to inject it into your brain. The brain can store keyword and shape pretty easilyin my opinion. For example let say the nose middle/face/triangle after that you start to inject more into that something like half-cylinder/half-ball and than you keep refining alway trying to store the information in 2 or 3 keyword each time you want to inject new information.
I say 2 to 3 because after 4 keyword i think it become saturated.
Alway use word that are funny and easy to remember. For example for the nose you can also inject something funny to remind you of a ball for example linking half-ball to the idea of a clown nose. It will help you remember half ball easier. The brain enjoy creating strange link in my opinion. For example let say your a total beginner you can think of the hand as a glove it make it easier after that to place the finger those are that what i mean when i say the brain link strange or familar link.
I hope i saying something useful here i don't want to sound repetitve.
