Im starting up an ecorche in 3d to improve my observation/application/and of course my working knowledge of 3d sculpting. Im doing it in 3d coat, and ill put about an hour a day into it until i get the whole body down. Im starting with the skull since i have one to closely reference, then ill coat half the skull with a half muscle half bone kind of coat. After just two hours of trying to figure out the brushes and smushing a blob around, my eye shot way the hell up. '
I went back to loomis seeing a lot clearer and more critically about each of my lines, which after this weeked was a wakeup. Ill post some pics of it once i make some progress on it, its just this ugly blob right now, and im gonna try to use one or two brushes so i dont get overwhelmed with the bazillion tools in 3dcoat
Sold another drawing to a woman i knew, that'll make the second in my life. gettin through loomis well, and getting a lot of cool insights about proportions and simplifying lighting and shape design. My shapes are getting shy here and there, but thats because im drawing things more proportional instead of the bohemian way i usually draw stuff, but its a transitional phase so its all good
