Darkiste: all the paper ones are studies from darren quachs ink book
Alright, burned through that quickly lol; i wanna do a nice mech design as a portfolio piece, did a practice one today, some quick sketches then spent an hour or so rendering this last post up a bit. preferably its gonna be like the mechs in front mission 4, 2 legs, kinda cross between gundam and modern military/near future kinda boring pragmatic war bots if that could ever exist.
this has been super fun, despite the grind, as theres lots of room to make mistakes and miss proportions in mechs so its easy to draw a ton and absorb a lot of info quickly. i think if i decide on a good design, ill use sketchup as kemp remillard does in his tutorial i got on gumroad a while back does. definitely want to nail that perspective over anything else, then paint the crap out of it with photo textures over a tight line drawing
