First up, this drawing I made of (oh god, it's this guy) back in june. I say (oh god, it's this guy) not because i dislike the character, but because i happen to have a special interest on this guy, STILL ONGOING???, lasting FIVE YEARS>??? i wasn't even this obsessed with my little pony when i was a toddler, what the hell!! anyway...yeah, my first drawing of ''spamton'' was from all the way back in may of 2023, the biggest difference between how i drew him now vs how i drew him then (old art here for reference,) is that now i seem to really like drawing him as a barely comprehensible being. it IS fun to draw him that way, though, so i understand myself. haha i'm drawing him right now and making use of the flipaclip ''blur and smudge'' tools to make him look all melty and distorted hopefully i'll finish it and i can share it here

I also have this, concept art for two main characters for a webseries I want to make/was working on earlier this year (i didn't draw their hands because i didn't feel like it, you get the idea) The art is meant to be drawn in a very amateur way on purpose, since I think it would help with the strange/off kilter kind of feel that i'd wanna go with for the thing. I was inspired by old flash animations and the recent resurgence of them as a tool to create unnerving/horror animations (this project would not be horror though) More art from the almost finished but incomplete ''pilot'' here and here.
What it WOULD be...is basically a slice of life kind of series taking place at the end of our world, following the aftermath of a ''man made'' rapture event, where the only two human characters we see are ''dante'' and a currently unnamed character. Both characters would have different mindsets and ways of approaching their situation, with dante being an atheist, and the unnamed character being a potestant christian (the religion i was raised in before leaving.) i chose to have that as a dynamic between the two characters because i think it could be interesting given the context of the shows setting. Some other information about the characters is that dante is supposed to work as ''the weatherman,'' while the unnamed character has a pet cat named ''lucy.'' i want both of these to be important somehow but not sure how, i do find it interesting how dante mentions cats in their dialogue during the pilot though, so maybe...............

I've been lurking this forum for years but I'm finally here to share and learn. I've been absent from art for a really, really long due to depression, anxiety, and severe OCD but I'm well enough to get back into it now. I've been wanting to start my own sketchbook thread since forever-ago but blahblah the second best time is now and whatnot.

The execution was done lightly, since I was only focused in capturing the movement of each reference from sketchdaily as well as getting my arm used to drawing from the overhand grip again. The quick sketch session lasted for around 1 hour, with each reference photo lasting from 30 secs- 5 min.  

The last image was done in digital and by imagination. I did it as an attempt to get my brain used to making foreshortened  human figures without reference and ultimately to make some awesome poses.

I have been painting digitally for some 6ish years now, with varying levels of dedication. My goal is to eventually become a concept artist or illustrator, or just be able to contribute to creative projects with my skills. I draw a lot of inspiration from artists like Anthony Jones, and Vlad Gheneli, the latter being the one who inspired me to begin this thread after I found their own sketchbook on here. The complete list of my inspirations would be endless, so I'll cut it there.

I'm starting this sketchbook so that I have a place to post my work for people to see, without having the pressures of only feeling able to post finished or 'good' work. I am lacking direction in my art at the moment, and while my passion is at an all time high, I find it difficult to channel that energy, and often end up 'studying' with no real, solid goals in mind other than to get better and make what I want. That's what I'm hoping to change by organising my thoughts along with my work here in this thread.

I'm not very familiar with online forums, especially posting on them, so please let me know if I commit any faux pas in the process of sharing my work and interacting with everyone! Please do also let me know what you think of my work if you feel like providing critique or feedback.

Here are some examples of my better work, ranging from older to more recent, just to give a feel of the kind of things I like to paint and draw. I'm not sure how to upload more images at once, there seems to be a size limit, even though these are well under 2.1mb haha.

I'm going to clean up a bit more the sketch lines and maybe play a little with more texturing, also add more contrast on the shadows of the skirt since I feel it looks a little, uhh, empty? not quite sure what is the correct word, but I hope you understand what I mean, same thing with the shoes.
