--Lots of different techniques art....can't go into them here. Most approximations say get a base temperature balance in with your first layers such as colour and overlay (dangerous because it changes values) , but basically at some point you have to get into overpainting directly, or you won't get enough coloir control an variation in there to make peiece vibrate. Totally depends on your style. Check out shaddy safadis vids on painting for free on his youtube. Best workflow process, ever. Ever!

--By the way does anyone have any tips for transitioning from a value sketch to adding colour? Do you guys use some kind of automatic feature in Photoshop to do it or do you just paint over the top of your greys with colours of the same value?
