--people like what they like i guess. shouldnt really matter anyway, i look at watchers more than faves, because that means im getting my stuff out there. if people are watching me from when i am a mere noob hoepfully when i get employable i'll have a decent audience

--funny enough my speedpaints of about 20 mins each have already clocked up more faves than one of my finished pieces in 3 weeks. awkward.

--No, but seriously now. I have talked about this "stepping stones idols" we have. The guy is better than we are, but not so good it seems unreachable, so people get excited that they "could be that awesome too". I have seen a lot of popular artists get popular because of that. So yeah, those small sketches are quick and dirty, but don't seem "out of reach" to people. Makes sense? It's the explain that has better clicked with me this days

--is it just me being petty or does anyone else get annoyed when an artist with a lot of watchers on dA can literally take a poop and post a picture and will have guarenteed hundreds of faves? like ive seen some horrific stuff out there which comes from great artists (like 5 mins sketches) and they have 400 faves
