--/pvt 691 MB, I haven't talk to my cousins for years. I feel awkward bring this up to them since they've all got their own families to take care of. This uncle also had a fierce argument with my mom right in front of me, basically using his physique against her, a few years back when she and I visited grandpa's original residence. I avoided him since then. Right now I'm hoping once our place is walker/wheel chair friendly, uncle will agree to let grandpa out into someone else's care. I really hope social worker won't be called, because that is the point of no return for probably both generation of people.

--/pvt 3266 Yo just read your situ. Is there any possibility of having a dialog with your Uncle. Or maybe arranging through the cousins. Most conflict arises out of personal differences of opinion and if you can all agree that your grandad's health and wellbeing is of concern to both of you then perhaps it can open a channel to get out the bad blood. Bringing in agencies imo will only exacerbate things and should only be done if you really suspect abuse strongly. Happy to be an ear if you need...
