watched a documentary about apple and samsung, and how their emplyees in china are getting cancers all the time, but never compensated because doctors are bribed to say it wasnt because of hte toxic gasses they inhale 24/7. sad times.

05 May 06:17

Wardy

unless you live in china

05 May 06:15

Gliger

Yeah, I get that but, dude, you are 12, you can literally try anything for 4 years before you can legaly even have a job

05 May 06:13

like i know a lot of people have no idea what they want to do, and some will change their mind, but if i was put in Art Center for 5 years, i would be pro by now most probably. instead im learning f*kin economics and what Larkin may or may not have meant in his poem 'a kumquat for john keats'

05 May 06:13

Gliger

Yeah, everyone would be considered what people nowadays consider geniuses

05 May 06:12

Wardy

i kinda wish you would have been given the option at say, 13, of purely specialising

05 May 06:12

UUUuuughh, I've had a good ammount of fights with teachers about autocad

05 May 06:11

DanialG

I just feel high school was a waste of time. Hell my animation class was dead set on telling us all 3d work in the film industry was done on AutoCAD. Everything was extremely unfunded and outdated

05 May 06:11

Gliger

Imagine being 12, and then being able to specialize in whatever you want

05 May 06:09

DanialG

The bare minimum classes needed to graduate could have totally been taught before the age of 12.

05 May 06:08

And found my passion in the process

05 May 06:08

Gliger

I feel like I could've finished general education before age 12

05 May 06:05

DanialG

Like it or not, I would have rather done the Online schooling that a lot of people are taking these days. Much better classes, college credit, free field trips to expensive places.

05 May 06:04

DanialG

My last year as a high schooler I had maybe 2 classes, so I had around 5 hours of just sitting in study hall waiting to leave.

05 May 06:03

DanialG

The amount of free time I had in public school just makes the education system seem unfunded and lazy

05 May 06:02

Gliger

--

Totally yeah

05 May 06:02

DanialG

--

I would have killed for some sort of real art classes when I was growing up haha

05 May 06:02

Gliger

--

Damn right, that + all the stigmas that society and teachers press into you, no wonder to this day people tell me to persue another career haha

05 May 06:01

DanialG

Art classes were similar, we never actually touched pencils or paint. It was all scrap booking

05 May 06:00

Gliger

--

Yeah it's all messed up

05 May 05:59

DanialG

--

I never even got any assignments for it, we literally never used it. It wasn't until actual band class that we started using instruments

I get the concept, it's the same as learning a skill, but dude, 2 hours per week, with such a restricted instrument... Music and art clases were a waste of time in my education (And I am a painted and violinist so...)

05 May 05:58

DanialG

--

It wasn't even like, here have fun with this in class. We just kinda got it with our school supplies for no reason.

05 May 05:58

DanialG

We had the small kit with the cleaning cloth, but I swear there wasn't a single lesson involved

05 May 05:57

Gliger

That FREAKING FLUTE. I still don't get how it should have helped me in my education

05 May 05:57

Instead we got the weird flute thing in School they sent home with us, that we never actually used.
