Yeah I get you

it would pressure me to be the same, and it would just feel like you're not discovering each other

Gliger

I know many introverts who are waaay into demselves

05 May 05:10

Wardy

like i couldnt have a girlfriend who was an extrovert i think

05 May 05:10

Gliger

I agree and disagree?

05 May 05:09

Wardy

i must say, im hugely attracted to other introverts (not sexually but as people), they are people you can get to know more and more, who have the same kind of tentativeness that makes them so interesting

Gliger

Yeeeah, I can spend days with people if we are like, running a marathon, then painting, then chatting, then biking or something

05 May 05:08

Wardy

--

like i can play a game or go for a drive without even thinking about talking as an active thing, but if its just one on one it can get stressful trying to keep conversation going

05 May 05:08

Wardy

--

exactly that! its the act of being only involved in conversation

05 May 05:07

Gliger

Even with close friends, unless I'm recieving constant information from like a nice hike, or a game or something, I kinda get tired after a while.

oh and just a side note- i dont suppose anyone has a car radio spare do they? kitting out my pimp wagon with new audio system but my radio (in built ford focus) is horrific. CD only.

Idk, I find it pretty easy to meet people, I think it's just how I am? Sure if I ''trained for it'', I might be able to stay more time with big crouds, but I would still be introverted. Not that it matters really, classifying people is kinda silly, but it feels kinda accurate

05 May 05:06

Wardy

yeh true. depends who though- i can be with my friends for as long as i want and never get tired, or my brother, because i dont feel like i have to 'perform', while with relatives i havent seen in a while or new people, i need to 'perform' to make a good impression, which is silly really

more energy*

05 May 05:04

Adam Lina

well it tired you out faster because youre burning my energy than someone with more social skills would be. its a stamina thing

05 May 05:04

Wardy

--

i agree, im what id probably say an introvert but i love to be social when i want to be

05 May 05:02

Gliger

--

It's not that it's hard? at least for me, it's just that I get tired. I know introverts who are extremely social, I don't think being extroverted has much to do with your social skills

05 May 04:58

Adam Lina

the more time you spend being social the easier it will get though. people that are "extroverts" have just spent more time building their social skills.

When I was little I always thought that people turned the conversation against me or something after a couple hours, and it turns out that I just get tired

05 May 04:13

Gliger

--

I love that I can be alone and still be happy, but it pisses me off when I'm having a good time with people and after 4 hours or something I start getting bored or even angry, it always takes me a while to realise ''Oh, right, I'm introverted, I forgot''

05 May 04:11

Gliger

--

I don't think so, that's just being introverted?. For a while I've thought what lyraina says. You are extroverted when you recharge with other people, and introverted when you recharge alone

05 May 04:10

Wardy

--

i kinda get a bit of both, it depends. i recharge when im with people who i completely relax with, no social pressure to be on my best form all the time, but occassions like family gatherings or meeting a whole load of new people physically exhausts me. i usually find a place to chill for a bit and give my mind a rest after a bit. i dont know if thats antisocial?

05 May 04:08

Wardy

so true

05 May 03:52

Lyraina

I think that is normal Gliger, we are social animals - but still, some people recharge while spending time with others, and some people recharge while being alone (I'm in this category as well)

05 May 03:49

Gliger

--

I just need to be alone to recharge my batteries

05 May 03:49

Gliger

I know I'm introverted but spending too much time in social environments tires me a lot after a while, but I need it every once in a whille, am I the only one?

haven't tried it yet, but isn't it actually counterproductive to be pulled out of the flow every couple minutes?
