--@meat I don't know illustrator well, but I think therenis a "transparency" tab where you can activate and manipulate masks from existing colours in images. could also use a clipping mask of some sort and trace or convert the silhouette of the logo you wanted masked. in terms of crit, I find the bold stroked font a bit old school and retro. the typography is all different, perhaps try mimicking the brand logo in some of the text. sunshine and birds don't invoke ideas of "bubble tea" for me. how about bubbles themselves as an element, maybe swap out the birds. I think the logo and/or the theme behind should take focus, at the moment the text is the most visible and a bit overpowering and kinda plonked in the middle of the banner. sorry I know that's not that useful at this stage, but maybe for next time.

--is that the new project of cg hub dev team, or is something... different? xD

--the project is here by the way: http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/attachme...?aid=49109

--.... I already painted the logo back in, tracing by hand 'cos there was no logo file to use

--I cut the white out in Photoshop, but when I put it in Illustrator, the white is back. Unless I paint a color shape *on top of* the product photo...
30 Apr 19:28
--I have a question actually: how do I put a product photo in Illustrator without the white background?
30 Apr 19:01
--lol...yeah gdesign can be annoying, but same deal as any illustration, if you find a way to bring your creativity to it, it helps. I find looking at good design aesthetics and shooting for something similar is much easier than trying to design something yourself. you also can use websites like colourlovers to pick nice pallettes from the getgo

--....if I actually pass this art test, does that mean I'll have to do this for a job everyday then?
30 Apr 18:40
--well this isn't my best work, but at least I have something to make into a pdf for submission. Meanwhile I'll keep trying to make the thing over in Illustrator in case they want the real file

--I thumbed several thumbs, it sort of works, but I get the most figuring out donw by moving and changing color/font in Photoshop
30 Apr 18:14
--I love it...fun...but in a totally different way. remember you should still thumbnail out your graphic design...it really helps
30 Apr 18:13
--try out inkscape meat. it's open source illustrator equivalent. it's what I use for g.design at work.

--It can create a full document as if it were part Indesign. Instead of just doing page to page.
