'if you get with yourself, and realise you are are all of yourself, a strange thing happens. you realise you are at one with the universe. that your body and mind are one part of the total energy system of the universe. and its all you, you all know you are 'I' and wherever beings exist in all the universe, you are all of them'

but the majority is taoist thought

27 Apr 08:48

Wardy

basically it explains the bible to some extent in a way that actually makes sense (to me). such as how jesus was a prophet who was spreading the word of 'heaven' (the bliss of presence/enlightenment) and God (difficult to explain. essentially all energy in the world, and hte experience of being totally at one with the universe) he applies buddhist logic to some mis read verses essentially

27 Apr 08:46

Amit Dutta

yeah I'll just read it rather than read what others say of it haha

27 Apr 08:45

Amit Dutta

Hmmm in the synopsis of Tolles book it says quasi-Christian framework, but it sounds like a lot of stuff from buddhist thought

27 Apr 08:45

Wardy

yeah... if i become a buddhist monk in the mountains with my family of bears, i'll invite you out some time and we'll chill and paint.

27 Apr 08:44

Not saying it's all bad or shit....but it is definitely less "real" and we give it more credence than it deserves

27 Apr 08:43

Amit Dutta

exactly...we are all so blinkered by the constructs of our own society

its funny how we have an entire forum all geared towards securing one job. which is helping build other peoples dreams through scribblings made of pixels. just like its funny how people are holed up all day (myself included) watching pixels and light dance on a screen, twiddling some joysticks because it gives some sense of achievement.

i really reccomedn the first one, its a free pdf online. one of the few books i can say that will permanently change your outlook for the better, though i tend to get worse and worse in time.
