--and another constant = we die
27 Apr 08:26
--absolutely meat! there is only one constant in life...and that is that it changes
27 Apr 08:26
--you live, you gain experience, your philosophy and thinking evolves... it's important to try to keep in mind doing the journey is more important than having an answer
27 Apr 08:25
--nice :) yep sights shift, I've always had focus issues...ie want to do everything, so the art was the first time I went all in to something for 2 or more years....think I'm coming out of that haze a little now :)
27 Apr 08:24
--ive always been a bit like that, if i find something i love i go full out. i feel that ebbing in some ways with art for some reason, maybe because im trying to force myself to start doing charactes and portraits which feels like being a beginner again and i have exams
27 Apr 08:23
--yeah. writing is awesome too! im one of the people who made a 200 page book when they were 12....
27 Apr 08:23
--i have considered the same. design is become more and more mechanised and product based and less about soul (without sounding pretentious) . illustration can be so awesome, but it isnt a field im interested in because the final version gets puts in books/covers etc which isnt what i want to do. games and film and making worlds just gets me buzzing so much, but things like vehicle design or academic stuff doesnt appeal to me.
27 Apr 08:22
--I also love writing, maybe more than doing art, so it's trying to make it all work together atm
27 Apr 08:21
--more towards my own story telling, my own mix of projects....which makes it hard because that doubt about personal projects purely self generated is stronger than the study, apply, iterate when it somes to conceptmwork
27 Apr 08:20
--dunno, since not having a decent machine to work on for 3 months, and realising I don't really like the concept design philosophy compared to illustrative stuff, and realising that everything I've been doing is to get a job as an artist...not because of what I want to do....
27 Apr 08:18
--you know ive seriously considering being a snowboard instructor and doing art on the side. its two things that really put me in a zen kinda state,
27 Apr 08:18
--ahhh thanks man, tbh it is nice, but I'm more confused and lost now than I have ever been with art....lol the feeling doesn't go away
27 Apr 08:17
--its sick to see you going big by the way, im 100% you will be a big name while im still studying. so jealous of your feng zhu comment !! sounds silly but im looking forward to the point where people are noticing me
27 Apr 08:16
--like i know for a fact that if instead of 5 years of schooling i did 5 years of art education or just self teaching all day, i would be so much better.
27 Apr 08:16
--people learn differently and have different skills. interest in something is key to learning I believe.
27 Apr 08:16
--well no not reallly i guess. its an ego thing i reckon, but it concerns me all the same. i feel like im wasting my time at school and i dont paint enough to justify all this time weasted
27 Apr 08:15
--music the same, i went to grade 8 within 3 years without any formal lessons because it was something i loved .
27 Apr 08:14
--i do sometiems wonder if im really stupid and art is my fallback because its a practice skill? i mean i can write essays and do creative things like interpretatiion of literature but apart from that i struggle with academics.
27 Apr 08:13
--really? thats cool! ive always loved physics and programming but i dont have the mind for it. facinated by it but maths doesnt work in my head.
