--No worries at all :) and from experience I implore you to take a lot more breaks. HEalth always comes first - what you should focus on more than "drawing a lot" is thinking a lot more. Think more about how a line/brush stroke is going to look, how colour will look, etc. Try to minimise the strokes as much as you can :)

--oh my bad D: I must've read your q. wrong. Hmm, taking regular breaks? Always good to stretch :) unless the pain in your fingers come on every time you press hard, I wouldn't be too concerned. Yeah I think I remember him talking about it as well, If I manage to find it, I'll link you :D
