--My absolute favourite human anatomy book is Hampton's Figure Drawing Design And Invention though. I love the way he constructs anatomy - so ... structured.

--@Lapatschka: If I may add, probably the big 3 anatomy books are Loomis, Bridgman and Hogarth. And from what I've heard, Michael Hampton's book on anatomy seems to work with a lot of people. If you can, if you have time, read everything. But if I have to choose one, personally I'd say Hogarth helped me the most.
