--My absolute favourite human anatomy book is Hampton's Figure Drawing Design And Invention though. I love the way he constructs anatomy - so ... structured.

--@Lapatschka I found Bammes a bit difficult for a total beginner and started with Loomis books and Proko videos.

--Ahh. There's this other anatomy guy, Vilppu. Haven't read him as well, but I hear his name from time to time.

--Oh! Cool. Somebody suggested me to read his book for animal anatomy. But yeah, if they help then why not haha!

--Thanks guys - I will see which books I'll read, I also have "Gottfried Bammes" Anatomy books here - dont know if you know him.

--@Lapatschka: If I may add, probably the big 3 anatomy books are Loomis, Bridgman and Hogarth. And from what I've heard, Michael Hampton's book on anatomy seems to work with a lot of people. If you can, if you have time, read everything. But if I have to choose one, personally I'd say Hogarth helped me the most.

--@Lapa: Loomis is a good start - there's good sections on anatomical proportions and perspective and then I second Piotr's advice on anatomy books or I just google muscle diagrams and learn origins and insertions.

--@Lapatschka: Loomis would be good fo anatomy, but I'd actually recommend you to use anatomy books to download the bady cheme into your brain then. As for values check out the notan study group and the stream on friday!
