then you are more like burned out, i say, take a rest, just a couple of days, do something you dont usually do.

that said, I work harder than ever so that might have something to do with it

Something as simple as a sentence from one of your favourite artists can motivate you, but at least to me it seems harder and harder to stay motivated

Something like a workshop motivates and inspires me

Adam Lina

that would be a motivation problem then. inspiration a feeling of excitement for the art you create. Motivation is the willingness to create it in the first place

if you go out and like it out there, you will likely want to go out more

17 Apr 02:09

Liberty

i dont think that works, one thing can hardly inspire you do to the other thing

well you dont have to practice a new skill or anything. go out for a walk in a new area you've never been to. Go to a social gathering with people you dont know. Simple things can get you inspired.

i'm not that optimistic, but yes, coming out of your shell its always good

17 Apr 01:59

Gliger

But I still have the ''I don't want to try other stuff because I might like it more than art'' Which is a stupid thought

17 Apr 01:59

Gliger

I think it's a problem we all have, we are scared of changing, but I think any change you get from new experiences will always be good

17 Apr 01:58

EduardoGaray

so you have to take the risk

17 Apr 01:57

EduardoGaray

i think that too, though its also is a double edged sword, new experiences and knowledge will help you to get inspired, but it will also change you, and maybe not in the way you wanted in the beginning

17 Apr 01:54

Adam Lina

inspiration is like monkeybread said. you have to get it from experiencing different things in life. So just dont think about improving art and go out somewhere new and experience different things

17 Apr 01:51

Adam Lina

--

yea so you have motivation then. You just need to find inspiration to make it more enjoyable

17 Apr 01:50

Gliger

--

The thing is neither of those will be fun unless you have the type of motivation I'm talking about

17 Apr 01:49

Gliger

I can force myself to work 3 days in a row without having someone aiming a gun at my head

17 Apr 01:49

Gliger

like, you actually want to study, or work

17 Apr 01:49

Gliger

--

I don't know, I'm talking about inspired motivation

17 Apr 01:43

EduardoGaray

true, there is also fear, which is the best motivator in existence

17 Apr 01:38

Liberty

--

promise of food and sex, thats how you get motivated

17 Apr 01:22

Adam Lina

--

but usually inspiration can be a good motivator so that doesnt often happen

17 Apr 01:21

Adam Lina

--

inspiration to me is when i get an idea that I find exciting but at the same time I might not have the motivation to go work on the idea and sketch it out.

They can be, in a way, but I'm mostly looking for books on how to stay motivated

17 Apr 00:53

@gliger "art and fear" made me want to put it down and rush to my computer. don't think there is a formula to true inspiration. it mostly comes from experiencing life in various ways I think.
