--There's a thing called Image Resizer that can resize multiple images at once. I don't use it too often, but I've used it a few times.

--I use a camera and when you go to open file in photoshop your can hold shift to open multiple files at once. Then I just resize and save each one.

--Not sure if there's anything fast than just scanning. If anything I'm picky about the pages I feel are worth scanning. If anything, I use the scanner's software directly through photoshop so I can spruce it up immediately.
