--You don't need to paint a huge amount of studies anyway, most of what I know I learned from watching TV/Movies and from just sitting in the park. Paying full attention is what teaches you.

--Palettes straight from photos are usually bad anyway. There is a reason there is so much retouching and post processing on every photo nowadays. So paint away :)

--what are your opinions on using photo textuers on base colours to make a starting pallette guys? i always have a colour scheme in mind but textuers on overlay help just to bring out some colours i hadnt thought of that work, i always paint over them anyway. is that ok or is that bad practice/

--Dark Souls has a solid gameplay, while I do think Skyrim don't hold much water. But that is my grudge against sandboxes, everything feels watered down because you do evertyhing, nothing is really good you know

--doing some really fun landscape shizzle right now, finding a really awesome work flow- i wonder what people think of it? its basically i do my base colours usually wit ha some accents of a complementary colour, ,then overlay random landscapes and textuers to find cool shapes, then use the colour pallette to build from there
