--Good ole Loomis
09 Feb 15:52
--Now to do gesture studies and construction in perspective. Hell I've just started the Loomis book too.
09 Feb 15:13
--I printed out the sheet of the male/female body with all the proportions in head heights, sketched some out and memorized them all (male front) and did them back with no ref and it's all looking pretty good =0
09 Feb 15:12
--I find that some systems mix the 8 and 7.5 head rule, throwing one off so to speak.
09 Feb 14:58
--I now know all the front-on male proportions! :) hopefully it stays in memory now
09 Feb 14:09
--that brings up a list of all the topics you've posted in, and arranges them in order of most recent reply
09 Feb 14:09
--I think I just found out how to see.. just above this chat box it says "Welcome Back" Below that, "View New Posts"
09 Feb 14:04
--idk, I have a good number of threads subscribed to me email and it doesn't update me once there's an update in any of the threads. Its pretty delayed
09 Feb 12:24
--Yeah that's why I initally didn't want to do email notifications, I might tho if the other option doesnt show any notifications on the forums :)
09 Feb 11:08
--So you can do 100 gestures as a start, recommended by Hampton. Mix it with Loomis.
09 Feb 10:54
--Ahh awesome thanks! You explained that fine :) Thanks man, I'll have to wait and see if there's an automatic way, otherwise I'll do email notifications I think!
09 Feb 10:46
--i don't know any there is any automatic way to know if there is new notify but at least manually choose and see all the subscribed threads you have there
09 Feb 10:45
--on the left side there is a bar go to Miscellaneous and click Subscribed Threads
09 Feb 10:42
--well i am not the best at explaining stuff and + i am not a english speaker so it hard for me but if you choose not the email type
09 Feb 10:36
--Ooh awesome, so if I'm subscribed to a thread how does it notify me of updates (the non-email one)
09 Feb 10:10
--Yeah exactly, I've got an art schedule set up, and I made sure to note to duplicate from imagination afterwards to try and commit it to memory
09 Feb 10:09
--that why gesture i think is really something that it important to pratice in each drawing season
09 Feb 10:08
--the main problem with loomis is the fact that you can just copy is drawing a think you learn something but it not like you will really understand so you need to know that copying won't make you learn how to draw from imagination you need to understand the limit of the body
