--I've recently discovered that it is good to take some time to do the stupid shit we did as kids, lay on the floor and copy your favourite cartoon characters etc. I usually approach that in a serious way, as design studies, so unpluging your brain and just drawing silly characters helps

--yea but they were doing stuff of higher quality back in the 40s and 50s. it took a hell of a lot longer to do though and costed more money but it was much better results than the short cuts they use now
