--i think it was in the late 90s or early 2000s they came out with a bnuch of flash based cartoons on cartoon network that started a trend of making everything boring, perfectly smooth geometric looking stuff

--not sure all the kids cartoons from the 80s were pretty poorly animated but drawn decently. you have to consider they didnt have computerized 2d animation software back then. it all had to be hand drawn
