although I always recomment being extremely careful with any study concerning health, food, etc as they tend to vary extremely depending on the study... and what the authors want to prove.

didn't read up on the 'how', just read that they released a paper on the topic earlier that month. where they gave people caffeine *after* learning to be able to exclude secondary causes like better alertness (http://www.nature.com/neuro/journal/v17/....3623.html)
