i think the best thing i figured out about anatomy was bone structure and where muscles connect to the bones. it helped me better understand the mechanics of the body

wow ! what an awesome site :) thanks alot reminds me, i should be able to get my hands on the books my mother used for her medical exam which should contain pretty in detail views of body parts, speaking of body parts, should i focus on seperate parts alone or do everything equally ? i could imagine head , hands and feet are something i should train most

i'd say quality first, and very technical at it. Go take a peek at muscle charts and try to understand/draw the muscles from photos

i'm starting out on human anatomy, should i start out with a mass of speedpaintings which all look horrible but eventually get better or focus on quality first to get a basic understanding going :/

At long periods of time when I can't draw much, or at all, I try to watch movies, take notes, read artbooks, really really look at paintings and understand stuff in my mind, and when I get back to drawing I've improved a lot, I'm gonna do that again

yeah 4-5 was about average i spent drawing a day in hs. just gather ideas. watch movies while drawing. i still go back to some of the thumbnails i did back then

i started as soon as i woke up at 11 and its 4 now. i got pretty far but i guess its a combination of me being excited i finally finished this month long challenge, and now being able to go back and render sone of these paintings for my portfolio haha
