--yeeeah, there is nothing like hitting something with a big weapon in dark souls, you feel the hits
23 Jan 22:35
--it's the souls mechanic and maybe the starting from the begining one what makes it look hard
23 Jan 22:35
--I find them armors to be the strongest wise:) I mean, they all work when I look at them, they are somehow as firm as they get, design wise.
23 Jan 22:35
--Maybe because dark souls has the most solid battle sistem that has ever existed, and if you didn't lose souls, people wouldn't complain about how hard it is
23 Jan 22:34
--i actually found monster hunter really hard, but not dark souls dunno why
23 Jan 22:34
--I don't find it hard, that said, I don't find dark souls hard so i'm not the best example haha
23 Jan 22:33
--haha i played one in the psp many years ago, but i had to play solo, and the difficulty was far above my level
23 Jan 22:33
--Ah, I remembered, there's one book I like, although it has zero process and it's like a series of character posters. I really dig some of the featured artists and approaches, it's called heroes and heroines, a collection of character art from some animes and games
23 Jan 22:32
--I find them the strongest, concept wise, not art wise, but hey, it's monster hunter, a monster, his armor and his weapon are equally memorable
23 Jan 22:31
--Same goes for weapons. Personally, I find the monsters to be it's "weakest" point
23 Jan 22:31
--and then you have the second illustrations book, and the cgworks, and the one for the next monster hunter etc. lol
23 Jan 22:30
--monster hunter is unbelievable. I mean, you browse through pages and pages of armor and you're like "they couldn't possibly design more" and then you browse through like another hundred lol
23 Jan 22:30
--I try to not make a differenciation between anime art and western, with monster hunter for example, it's really good painters that know their fundamentals who just happen to do manga style for this saga, or for themselves too idk good art is good art
23 Jan 22:29
--Yeah I usually buy artbooks for the art, I haven't played black flag, nor I'm expecting to
23 Jan 22:29
--monster hunter is attracting my attention too, i want to know more about that butterfly armor haha
23 Jan 22:28
--that destiny one looks nice too, i dont like shooters, but there is a lot of Jaime Jones and Kekai stuff on it
23 Jan 22:28
--This year I've bought the asassins creed black flag one, zelda and monster hunter, all three are awesome
23 Jan 22:27
--I just want two artbooks this year, Dark souls and the recently reprinted Xenogears perfect works, this last one is full of stuff not only artwork, to bad its only in japanese
23 Jan 22:27
--avery coleman also worked on darksiders, and another one whom I can't remember
23 Jan 22:25
--I have about 8 or 9 artbooks, instructionals included, there's bad stuff in anime and western, iviceversa, idk, japanese videogame artbooks usually have anime style and have what I'm looking for, but tv anime artbooks are sometimes shit.
23 Jan 22:24
--And I've heard a lot of praise for Darksiders and Halo 4 art books. I don't know whether to take a leap of faith, I mean, I am not a fan of the games, do they transcend that succesfully?:)
