--Speaking of artbooks, I've got the impressions that anime(ish) artbooks generally contain more of the stuff I would wish an artbook to have (when we disregard the fact that I like anime per se). They tend to have characters, props, footnotes, like "his silhouette was boring so he got a hat" and all that stuff which is actually helpful. Western ones do that too sometimes, but more often than not you get a lot of pretty pages. Then again, I don't have that many art books:)

--But monster hunter pretty much nailed it. I have a friend that's concept artist and he strongly dislikes anime style, design and all derivatives and when he saw the book he immediatelly ordered a copy lol

--It's one of the best artbooks (for artists, I mean). Usually artbooks have too much eye candy and stuff like that for the "default fan", so I remain hungry for designs, processes, stuff like that.
