--We should have a thread to keep links of podcast and talk stuff to listen to while working
23 Jan 10:15
--Does anyone know a way to download from mixlr? I can't play either of the interviews
23 Jan 10:06
--Oh yeah like rainfall and shit. I watched the livestream with Dan and Jaan and got drawn into the story, helped my workflow.Anyways Im off to sleep now, its 2 am and tomorrow's school.
23 Jan 10:03
--Yeah, it's kinda strange, I mean, I could draw to the music earlier. I even had a period when I would draw to those nature sounds stuff. Now I just get into some kind of pointless restlesness and can't focus that much. While if I'm listening to some art talk stuff, I get in some kind of "interaction" with it and I can go for hours and hours
23 Jan 10:03
--In some vids theres music for a good hour or 2, but then they get talking and telling stories.
23 Jan 10:01
--I think I've been browsing that too... but it doesn't help if it's not some kind of conversation... for example, dave's videos are often him drawing to some music
23 Jan 10:00
--Totally agree Doolio, going through the same stuff, should get some audiobooks after listening to all the talks.
23 Jan 09:59
--I discovered that music doesn't do much. I need something more substantial, but it can't be like an audio book either, because I somehow end up perceiving that too as some background noise and I become bored and want to do something else etc. So really, art talk is the thing for me.
23 Jan 09:58
--speaking of podcasts and stuff, I am running out of youtube videos I could listen to while drawing. Do you have some recommendations? I mean, something like Dan and Dave talking about freelance or Feng Zhu Q&A or Sycra Q&A etc.
23 Jan 09:14
--but yeah just listening to new podcasts of artists i look up too is just as refreshing as me having an art talk with someone. i'll move to the as soon as i get some freelance. seattle or san fran here i come.
23 Jan 09:11
--ppl think im crazy when i say i draw 12 hours a day and i stop watching tv ir playing videogames to do so :/
23 Jan 09:10
--Hey, whats the average that artists around my level charge for portraits?
23 Jan 09:00

23 Jan 08:57
--Heh. I am severely lacking people who want to get better to keep me company. people call me crazy for my "military like discipline". pfft
23 Jan 08:57
--same ursula! the art community in my town is non existant! just a bunch of people who draw skewed skulls on notebook paper once a year and say they draw D:
23 Jan 08:37
--its in japanese, but with google translator (if you use chrome) you can understand the exercises perfectly
23 Jan 08:36
--i'm far to tired to join the discussion, but indeed, its cool to see this kind of talk :)
23 Jan 08:15
