--My eyes easily focus on the character, hard edges, that red, it's great, but the machinery could use more contrast even if it is in the background

--Try practicing the stuff that creates contrast, line, color, value, focus, rythm etc. it might help

--zooming in helps a bit, so it might be not enough simplification or definition, btw, is that color I see in the bottom right pure black? or almost pure black
