not designing a toy, designing a character for a videogame that will later turn into a toy

14 Jan 05:21

Gliger

--

yeah but in mtg, if I'm not wrong they pay you for the illustration, you can kind of keep the design]

14 Jan 05:20

Blewzen

--

well in fact i would say designing a toy is more about industrial design than anything

14 Jan 05:20

Gliger

--

your average company will just pay for hire, no royalties, they are paying you for a design that will last forever

14 Jan 05:20

futurespaceghost

--

im talking art in general and remeber you do basically design the characters and lanscapes in illustrations for mtg or cryptuds

14 Jan 05:19

Gliger

--

that might turn into real life products, toys, dolls etc.

14 Jan 05:18

Gliger

--

you are designing fictional products

14 Jan 05:18

Gliger

--

entertainment design is industrial design

14 Jan 05:17

Gliger

--

there wouldn't be a product without the design
