Gliger

what... when talking about concept art it's not about a pretty painting, it's about the design

its crazy how people think theres no career in art and im like everything you interact with in life was designed by some one

14 Jan 05:15

Swibble

--

do you really need amazing work for production images no one will see

14 Jan 05:15

Swibble

it's something that a lot of people can do in an average way

14 Jan 05:15

Blewzen

think, all this things are products they have to sell them, if they look visually bad nobody wanna buy them, is that simple

14 Jan 05:14

Gliger

Swibble

movies aren't made out of concept art

14 Jan 05:11

Gliger

--

tell that to a company that makes a billion dollars per movie

14 Jan 05:10

Swibble

--

do that 10 times and you're done for the year

14 Jan 05:10

Swibble

14 Jan 05:09

Swibble

6AM means confusion that your headphones smell like shampoo

14 Jan 05:07

Gliger

--

5000 doesn't feel like that much now does it? haha

14 Jan 05:06

Gliger

--

but didn't sargent charge like 120,000 dollars for each portrait?

14 Jan 05:06

Gliger

--

it's not about how much it is worth, when you are working with multibillion companies it's about how much they are willing to pay for YOUR work, you're right

14 Jan 05:05

EduardoGaray

--

but you know what that roman guy said, things only cost what their buyer is willing to pay

14 Jan 05:03

EduardoGaray

--

the sad thing is that 2000 or 5000 seems an unbeliable amount

14 Jan 05:03

Gliger

--

Like, not to get into fineart, or Sargent level portraits, but, Kim jung gi must get more than 5000, even though each drawing takes him like what, a couple hours?

14 Jan 05:02

Gliger

--

I think noah bradley said 5000 was around the max until you really made your own thing

14 Jan 04:58

Adam Lina

--

And I bet you can get more if a company wants specifically your work, I can't speak for him, but marko djudjevic probably gets a lot for his marvel covers
