--you should work both sides of the forearm not just the flexors. the muscles that open your hand are just as important. if all you do is use a squeezy ball youll end up with strong flexors and your extensors will be atrophied

--I tried that before, and my fist does not close right, so my index and middle finger sticks out and took all the weight. Real painful without cushion like thick carpet...

--you can do inclined push ups with your closed hands (fists) instead of open hands on the ground to make your wrists stronger

--i have a squeezy ball that i use when my wrist hurts that i just squeeze as fast as i can for 3 mins. i also do bicep curls but with my hand curled inward to work the forearm

--if your wrist hurts its probably the muscles in your forearm causing the soreness. your wrist is all tendons, the muscles cause them to get uneven tension. try massaging the muscles in your forearm
