--Steve Argyle's Sketch n' Skotch stream starts in about 15 min. There's a "J-doodle" with a prompt that you have an hour to complete, and Skwomework that you get the whole week until the next stream to complete. For each doodle or skwomework you do, you get a doodle dollar, which you can save up and cash in for prints and such. It's a lot of fun and really great practice https://www.twitch.tv/steveargyle

--@Devares: Well I'm no enviro expert but John F. Carlson is highly recommended for landscapes in general and he is on that list, maybe give him another look?

--@Lostviking: I don't remember having to check my email, what problem are you having?

--Hey, I have a questions for environment specialists out there - do you know some kick ass realistic winter landscape painters apart from Peder Mønsted Vinterdag? I've also found this (http://valleyadvocate.com/2014/01/15/ten...-painters/), but I'm not convinced by the style of most of them.

--@Bookend: That's a great point, I think I've experienced that myself when doing research. I will add research to my little experiment.

--@DanialG I'm on a similar situation with Artloader. I treat studies/doing art as a reward for the excruciating time at work. It's fun to explore new things I am inclined to doing. I don't do a lot of environments because there are times where learning it becomes this another stressful thing I have to solve. Like a kid who isn't good in Math forces himself to study for a test. What seems to be causing the stress?

--Artloader: I'm also not a big fan of doing architecture, or environment perspective-type things. But! I've found that when I'm looking up references and doing research for the little comic I started doing, this seems to be a really fun way to put studying and imagination together.

--I'm experimenting with a way of removing stress from my art studies - for example I don't enjoy doing architecture so it has always been stressful for me to study it - but I have decided to do a little every day and see if eventually I can conjure up enjoyment for it.

--I have a full time non-art job so I do my art late at night - most of the time I lose out on sleep - not sure how much sleep I can lose before something bad happens to my health!
30 Apr 07:43
--@DanialG: Requires overtime? That sounds very, very difficult. I have ADD and I'm me, so I find I need to not be tired or stressed to study and work at art. I generally make sure I have at least 6 - 8 hours of sleep per night. It's really sleep that's the most important. And if you really want this, and you don't have time to sleep AND do this... I think it's possible, but very, very difficult.

--Has anyone managed to find a less depressing/stressful way to study while having a non-art job that requires overtime. I'd work at my local greeting card company but sadly they need a bachelors degree in graphic design to basically push out gradeschool level art.
