Thanks Eyliana :) Yeah time is precious I guess. Still I have to focus on the long term - going mad for a few weeks and then burning out isn't gonna help me get where I want to be.

Looks like a good plan Artloader :) And yeah the constraint of 1h and being in bed in time sucks.. I know the problem :o

Watched your video on S.M.A.R.T. goals the other day Amit - useful thoughts - thanks for sharing - I'm thinking of putting together a goal around being able to draw and render the human figure better.

to really accomplish that you'd probably have to make that thing a consistent habit, but it's a start

17 Jun 03:47

Jan Kloidt

thats the goal

17 Jun 03:47

Jan Kloidt

the best result for me would be if it would turn everyone who participates into a more individual individual

17 Jun 03:47

Brian Hermelijn

ather I would push myself.

17 Jun 03:47

Brian Hermelijn

Well I don't know, but I for one, if it's a challenging project like that, I wouldn't half ass it.

17 Jun 03:45

Jan Kloidt

probably wont produce anything that will get you a job or that fits your portfolio, idk. kinda curious what will happen

17 Jun 03:33

Jan Kloidt

stuff like forget if its marketeable, forget if people will care about it, forget if it fits this or that mold or this or that IP. the only guideline should be that it you are 100% honest to yourself if you think it is cool and you hold it to your own highest quality standard possible.

17 Jun 03:29

Jan Kloidt

so im thinking that the brief for the challenge will be super loose and it's only going to tell you what NOT to do so you are forced to really come up with your own idea for it

17 Jun 03:28

Jan Kloidt

yeah, its good to have that space that doesnt have to be anything except what you really want it to be. where its allowed to fail and that can remain hidden forever if you want. its the only place where really anything completely new and cool can happen

17 Jun 03:24

Brian Hermelijn

and something I notice with my design project I am doing as well, a project where you can apply your skills and learn at the same time.

17 Jun 03:24

Yeah, I have been thinking of a project to start, to push my learning. Just individual/focused practice isn't enough. (what I noticed in case of like Ihor he has a personal project and that pushes him to the maximum while still having fun)

17 Jun 03:23

Jan Kloidt

im really convinced that this could be a game changer for my art

17 Jun 03:23

Jan Kloidt

i really want this to be awesome, so i'll put in lots of preparation and wait until the other challenges take a break or something

but yeah not saying google is wrong, but I've noticed how it has taken over my entire creative process and i cant really surprise myself anymore while theres tons of stuff in front of my door that ive never even considered
