Oh holy crap! I remember you drawing those big headed figures. Are those your character designs for the game?

John

Not that I'm interested in getting it... Better question! How did you get rid of it?

03 Jun 16:55

John

--

Yeesh. That's disgusting. How'd you get it?

03 Jun 16:55

OtherMuzz

But i'm really trying to tackle a few personal issues with drawing before i start cranking the personal work again.

03 Jun 16:54

OtherMuzz

I got some hand fungus yesterday, so i didn't get my daily study done. But man i'm always working on stuff. currently working on a fighting game with a friend

03 Jun 16:52

John

Stop impressing us with studies and do something with it already haha!

03 Jun 16:51

John

03 Jun 16:48

OtherMuzz

Sure i'll be an art mum. I'd be a kickin rad mum.

03 Jun 16:47

John

--

Oh... then... Muzzy! Art Mommy! Protecting art children from having too much of anything!

03 Jun 16:42

OtherMuzz

I was just trying to say that too much feedback at once can be discouraging. nothing about the validity of the feedback at all

03 Jun 16:40

John

--

Of course! I was doing a straw man.. Whatever this is!

03 Jun 16:40

OtherMuzz

--

>_>... that wasn't my point.

03 Jun 16:39

John

--

You tell 'em! Muzzy! Art authority!

Knowing what critiques to take and which to leave is a big part of growing though. Everyone is always going to have feedback of some sort, and there can be extremely valuable information that is relevant to what you're doing. Learning what advice to apply is a skill in its own.

But to say the root problem of forums is a bit much, though as that "problem" is also it's strength, as you get a multitude of ideas, not just one persons. The opposite of the soapboxing issue based around artist pages on facey

03 Jun 15:08

OtherMuzz

Yes i agree 100%, I just saw a really bad case of it, so i thought i would just remind people of how crushing it can be on the otherside of a crit mobbing. (i was also involved, so i am also talking about myself i guess)

Which is why sometimes, I just disconnect (this can range from 3 days to 2 weeks ) from the forum, practice, and come back, post see what's up etc

03 Jun 15:02

Well that's essentially the root problem of forums though. Because we all went to give feedback in someone's sketchbook. Persona A Telling you to follow this, Persona B telling you to follow that etc.

03 Jun 14:46

OtherMuzz

especially when all that feedback is contradictory and different.

Hey guys... sometimes when you see some people giving some crits to an artist... you want to add your two cents. Keep in mind that too many people jumping in can be really overwhelming.
