Hmm what you can do for training perspective, I guess that is what you want, find a picture. Find the horizon and try to find the vanihsing points of roads/rivers other objects on the picture

free hand perspective/perspective with ruler, the second exercise seems somewhat vague for, not too sure what he means with grid on top of a photo. Or the explanation is a bit abstract? I think seeing a visual representation can aid what he explains better, hmm.

Trying to grasp the exercises Muzz mentioned, one is drawing the box on a 3D space grid or so,

What exactly is grid photo copying dense grid (like 10x10)
grid photo copying Sparse grid (like 3x3)? - http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-7...#pid102113

This was an interesting watch. Might be a bit too long for most so tl;tr:rythmic breaths 4sec inhale 4sec exhale. Can be other variants as long as its consistant. Another factor is the smoothness of the breath, but thats the easier part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xc3XdOiGGI

its harder to do which is why the messy line method seems more appealing

30 May 07:52

Adam Lina

yea thats what i meant by starting with painting. the point is to know exactly where the edges of objects are instead of having sloppy unclear edges

Alright, well got some things to try, and compare to now, lets see what happens in upcoming weeks.

I do recall Karl Gnass mentioned to draw with soft tone, because if you want to change the position of the pose, you will easily be able to do so since the tone is just soft.

It is. But, I'm not as accurate as I want to be.

30 May 07:48

Adam Lina

dont you think it would be more efficient to make the line you intended to make the first time without having the extra step of erasing?

30 May 07:47

John

--

I mean, I start with light scribbly lines, erase it with a kneaded eraser and choose the lines I like to make darker.

30 May 07:46

John

--

I start from scribbles when I draw from imagination. I have less messy lines when I have references. But you know, preference..

30 May 07:44

theres not much point in a line drawing if it looks like scribbles. might as well just start with painting then
