Well, it does take that sometimes because you have to be precise with every pixel to convey what you want to convey

I think. Or am I wrong?

Brian Hermelijn

Which is another reason I went back to it, and a lot of trial and error to make things look right.

Brian Hermelijn

Yeah that's true. But it does requires patience,

As long as you have a grasp of fundamentals and you can draw, you're good. Just keep drawing and looking for CC.

From what I've observed, and talking with friends on there, pixelart isn't anything special

Jun

Same here.

Remember, I only have pencil tools right now, and a mouse. So no tablet yet.

Learning in a sense, of just trying things out. Like draw a subject traditionally, and see if I can recreate it in pixel art.

29 May 15:51

Jun

Why not just use digital/traditional?

29 May 15:51

Jun

--

Hm. I don't know why you'd use pixelart as a learning medium

And damn, that's some solid pixel art work right there. (Cyangmou)

29 May 15:49

Brian Hermelijn

I am not sure if I will continue with pixel art 100%, since I am just treating it as a learning medium.

Check out Cyangmou for _good_ pixelart

And Abnormal, you just reminded me... that's exactly how Cushart constructs/invent his poses.

That game isn't my thing, really. I don't even play games anymore :(

the hell muzz, i never wanted your feedback OR help lol Oh, and there's a way to go about things: screaming your views from the rooftops til your throat bleeds isn't one of them. Bashing other teachers like sycra for their methods (even though they helped many people) isn't one of them. (hypocrite much?) If you are so muh about helping, create a thread in the mentorship thread and take in students who want to learn by u.I won't say anything else about this. I have low tolerance for these things.

Speaking from personal experience, I am one of those who got to drawing figures and training my observational drawing skills the entire time for a year. but I mostly focused on learning everything there is to learn about the human anatomy. while I think drawing gestures could help you in developing how you naturally draw. I only just realized now that there is only so much you could learn in doing them.
