--Speaking of galleries, I remember this Dave Choe story when he couldn't sell enough paintings to get by when he was selling them dirt cheap. So he said fuck it and raised the price on every piece he made. Sustained himself by gambling, and he was getting thousands when he got a painting sold.

--Yeah for sure. I think playing to the gallery thing is definitely a big one. So many people wanting to do what others "like"...it makes us shitty artists.
