Haha! Seriously RP, when a guy starts to make a move to hug you, is that the first thing that pops in your head?

We like Daggers because we're artists and this is specifically a place for us.

John

Huh... so that's why I kept seeing a lot of baby pics.. I kept on liking them just because it makes me feel like an asshole not liking them unlike the other folks in my peer group.

I haven't touched DeviantArt in nearly a year but I have the same thoughts on it as with Facebook - it's a social platform. The first thing it does is knock down walls. It's really the one way today for any layman to be on the level with so called untouchables. To be able to converse with professionals and people I admire the same way I do friends and colleagues is pretty damn significant.

Facebook has algorithms in place now that makes only the pages you interact with show more prevalently in your feeds - so if you're seeing shit then it's because you've liked to much shit.

Yeah, you're on the money RP. I'm just gonna use buffer for Facebook so I don't have to deal with looking at it. Its a tool after all.

@RP *raises hand* Guilty as charged! Ahh... I remember those days when I had to waddle through a river of timeline diarrhea..

A simple matter of research and networking.

See I hear that a lot, people grooming their contacts list somehow makes them feel desensitized. I just keep a closed circle in regards to people added as friends. Pages I manage for work and privately are always open to the public with the basic filters in place. As for the types of people that turn it to shit - with more than one billion people using it, we each only see a few demographics and if it's not one we like it's our responsibility to reach beyond it,.

"This bloke was born during the late 1950's. He made such and such in the industry. My verdict is, add the hell out of him!"

It's interesting how you treat online personalities like artifacts! Haha!

Instagram same thing, I don't follow sources I do not want.

15 May 12:41

John

I just recently cut Instagram as well! It's starting to feel like it's forcing me to like certain people whom I do not like!

15 May 12:38

John

Haha! Let's be friends! But I don't want to hear your shit!

I'm speaking on the context of Facebook a year ago. I don't know how it looks right now or how much has changed haha!

Well I don't really follow/have almost anyone added on my facebook so no drama

15 May 12:36

John

This is my problem with Facebook. It's entertainment more than anything. The gossip and drama alone is so abundant, it's like an interactive reality show. Facebook did things right in my opinion. There are so many "Facebook killers" out there that haven't finished their job.

Plus I'm of the opinion that using something well > calling it shit and failing to make something better.
