So today in my schedule I have anatomy and mat studies. Although this last one I have never tried, but I am really bad at doing rocks on the mountains and that bugs me... a lot. >:

But that is also necessary! Every artists, in every field, thinks his idea or what he has done is the best. We are usually wrong, of course, but it is seems to be something.. inherent to the art.

John

@wasgodx Haha! But the difference between you now and me then, you are aware that it is wrong. I remember keeping myself at that pace, and thinking I'm the shit!

They remind me of this Ultron scene on the Avengers when he first appears with the body messed up and everything :P Like this: http://images-cdn.moviepilot.com/images/...344690.jpg

I remember when I was starting out drawing figures, everything was out of proportion and they always look like they're tipping over!

09 Apr 02:50

wasgodx

Yeah, that is also true. If it's not applied I'm not gonna get anywhere. I have done that with landscapes in a neat way, but anatomy, not so much. Mostly because until now I saw how I couldn't draw a bone in a good way and I demotivated a lot.

09 Apr 02:49

John

@wasgodx I see! I have no doubts that you'll get it sooner or later. Awareness goes a long way.

09 Apr 02:47

you need to apply the stuff you learn

Also I am trying to really do warm-ups because I know my arm is going to fall off if I don't.

I have a bunch of books, the typical, Loomis, Hampton, etc, but books do nothing if you do not have the will to learn and fail and struggle.

Hmm... now it is different because I made an schedule I think I am capable of following, and it is organized, and it's not "oh drawing 12 hours" or anything like that. It is at my pace. And that feels good. I want to draw well figures, and I believe I will be capable of doing it.
