I'll be streaming right now, but the sound quality might be poor - no jackhammer but I can only play music through my mic

29 Mar 11:08

Eyliana

--

All true, I just need to start somewhere :p

29 Mar 11:07

BrushNoir

--

just take what you like and combine it to make it your own :D

29 Mar 11:07

Hobitt

--

altough hogarth is a bit more advanced and bridgman

29 Mar 11:07

Hobitt

--

all of them have valueable insights even hogarth which some people dislike

29 Mar 11:07

Eyliana

--

And look into the other authors as well :)

29 Mar 11:07

Eyliana

--

I found Hamption and Reilly really helpful for heads, so I'll definitly try that

29 Mar 11:06

Hobitt

--

also try every author eventually

29 Mar 11:06

Eyliana

--

Yeah, I'm just really good at going to fast and skipping things. I need to stop that :p

I'm currently studying the same way as you Eyliana. I started with Proko videos, he focuses at 1 thing at a time, just like Piotr wrote.

29 Mar 11:05

Hobitt

indeed art is a long road enjoy the ride

29 Mar 11:05

Eyliana

Ke :) Just slowly, but steady!

29 Mar 11:03

Piotr Jasielski

For sure make small steps, don't rush things. Start with something easy and not complex -like a torso (front back, side), leg, feet, arm, palm. head construction, eye, nose mouth etc. All separately. Focus on one thing in a day, this way you'll see the progress faster

29 Mar 11:03

BrushNoir

--

yeah what hobitt said, you could also check out reilly or villpu

29 Mar 11:02

Hobitt

--

that being said loomis + hampton is a good start

29 Mar 11:02

Hobitt

--

just do that for a while and if you see that it helps carry on if not try some other authors

29 Mar 11:01

BrushNoir

--

go with the mannequin that suits you best and tryout gestures

29 Mar 11:01

Hobitt

--

if art had a "correct" way then it would had a 100% guaranteed way to creating amazing artists

29 Mar 11:01

I'd say start with proportions and check out different mannequins
