--Speaking of beetles, I need to go sleep. Not that that has anything to do with beetles. Good luck on the final phase.

--encript a code into the pixels that contains the dna structure of beetles.
26 Mar 03:39
--and make it subtle so at first it looks normal but as you keep looking more and more beetles start popping up
26 Mar 03:37
--haha...ok, so I see those little details. I saw the spear, and I guessed the green clasp thing was...but yeah perhaps a little subtle with the shape language. I mean I like that you didn't go too over the top and obvious...it keeps it within the GoT aesthetic well.

Ill make it one of those "find all the beetles" illustrations where I will hide 16 golden beetles on random parts of the image lol
26 Mar 03:34
--Oh, there are some hints, like the blade of his spear, the bottom trinket on the other side of the spear and the necklace, but I probably went to subtle with it.
26 Mar 03:33
--totally man.....one thing I will drop....a hint of beetle somewhere. As cliche as it was I dug the forehead tattoo, but mabybe some inscription on the horn or on his accessories somehow :)

--Thanks, Its fun to do those really detailed lineworks where lines follow the forms.
26 Mar 03:32
--Ill still look over and make some adjustments today, always gotta try to improve.
26 Mar 03:31
--Yeah, Im glad I spent the time planning and did a linework that wasnt half assed :)
26 Mar 03:31
--haha...fair enough. I definitely think reading is a fantastic way to stoke the imagination for your art. btw great work on your piece Cracked. Hope you're stoked with teh result?
26 Mar 03:30
--I still feel bad if I read something too much and fall behind my schedule. Also if I had to choose whether to read or draw for 8h a day I would choose drawing :D
26 Mar 03:29
--If I could get a job reading whatever I wanted and get paid for it, I'd drop art in a heartbeat :)
26 Mar 03:28
--I feel like it gives your brain time to sort out all of the outdated art-related information you have accumulated and throw it out.
26 Mar 03:28
--but yeah, reading is one of those things that you shouldn't feel bad about. And if you take a break for a couple weeks to read and come back to art after that it can actually be a great way of resetting bad habits.
26 Mar 03:25
--Lots of things can be productive activity depending on the circumstances, but when it gets to the point where you stop doing art entirely that's probably a bad sign.
