--WTF all tickets for THU this year in september are already sold out?! i wanted to go T_T
24 Feb 21:16
--You can, but it'll be pretty basic so just don't be surprised if it crashes or lags.

--My laptop's graphics card flamed out. Can one still paint stuff using the default Intel graphics card?
24 Feb 13:43
--Lynda has pretty good ones, Its really amazing how some of the same principles apply to what we do here in Illustration/painting like composition , Color and perspective.
24 Feb 13:23
--buy all the lectures/courses etc. seems like focusin around typography and commercial graphics etc. i want to learn graphic composition and design

--Fucked up 2 days of work... Accidentially rewrote a photoshop file for environment course. It would be a good lesson for me in future anyway. Making reserve copies is actually a good idea! Installed PSautosave in case I ever forget to do it again.

--dont be afraid to jump ahead and tackle those for a while and come back later, not everything in the book is in perfect order beacuse there is just so much stuff, its almost impossible to organize but they still did an amazing job at it
23 Feb 13:49
--yeah they are the most important part of the book. ellipses lead to squares which lead to cubes which lead to making measurements in every direction
23 Feb 13:48
--Ah ok. i'm not up to that point yet, i'll come back to it afterwards. thanks a ton for the help. ellipses seem to be the root of all my drawing problems lol.
23 Feb 13:47
--page 73 explains how to find the correct ellipse degree for every square in perspective, the following pages elaborate on that stuff
23 Feb 13:45
--unless i'm supposed to draw an ellipse going straight ahead like it's in one point perspective? it looks like that actually.
23 Feb 13:43
--yep i've got the two lines at the bottom going towards the lvp. how do you figure out what kind of ellipse to put in there though. it says the correct ellipse which i'd assume would be one with a middle line towards the lvp, however the middle line through it(forgot what it's called) just seems to be going off in a random direction.
23 Feb 13:42
--the whole thing is exploiting the fact that an circle fits perfectly in a square so the correct ellipse fits into the correct square in perspective. you use the ellpise to construct the square.
23 Feb 13:41
--so to summarize, first the line towards the left vp, then the ellipse, then the line towards the right vp. its a bit confusing in the book because it seems that he is saying to draw the ellipse last but thats not what he means
23 Feb 13:40
--now just draw a line towards the right vp , tangent to the bottom of the new ellipse
