And it's as cheap as you can get a domai for ($10/year?) you don't need to pay anything to tumblr itself

Daggers would have a thumbnail gallery showcase with the best SB's and challenge entries. You can help with choosing those SB's which will represent daggers by giving us your oppinion here :P -> http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-7189.html

Apparently Istebraks twitch channel has been taken down due to "Copyright", fucking sick of this shit. both on youtube and twitch, even the legit claims are usually being very overprotective of their property, you can have your video taken down for even humming a theme.

Lodratio:Yeah I have'nt got much space on my desk though(though I think i've found a way around the vanishing points issue). Checking studies when i'm drawing from ref is the annoying thing as i'd have to print out the ref. Eyeliana:Cool i'll have a look at some photographs, just want to make sure I know how to draw it though for when I do need it.

@Trigger; The cone of vision I see as something to keep in mind when you are going to draw environments/buildings and stuff. I don't see the added value or constructing them. You can look up some photographs using different mm lenses, that should give an impression on how things deform when you have larger viewing angle.

I'd also say that with perspective studies in particular you don't need to worry about making the individual drawings perfect until you reach a pretty high level. You can make errors in terms of accuracy. It's not that important. What matters is that you figure out how perspective works on an intuitive level.

.... or you could use a big paper and draw in a small section in the middle.

Also yeah I need to draw buildings from observation, wondering if perhaps I should wait until I can work on tablet again before tackling the book actually(currently drawing traditional) that way I can extend the canvas and i'd be able to check my studies easier.

From what i've figured out googling it, you just need to find the station point and divide the cone of vision from there(like 2 30 angles for a 60 degree cone). I'm following along the book pretty well atm but he seems to skip over some basic stuff, he goes so indepth with the cone but never adresses how to draw it in the first place XD. Also confused about the offset mirroring as it looks like you can get the exact same effect by just drawing a cube.

Imo scotts book is a little too technical when it comes to these things for it to serve as a good *basis* for understanding them. Once you have some intuitive knowledge of perspective it becomes really useful for nailing the perspective on complicated objects, but first you have to get to that point. For me the most helpful exercise in figuring out perspective and cone of vision has been drawing buildings from observation and really paying attention to distortion and vanishing points.

Hey guys has anyone else studied scott robertsons how to draw book? Having trouble trying to figure out how to set up the ground plane and the cone of vision.
