--yup, it's awesome. never limit yourself to anything when it comes to appreciation of the things around you or sources that you might learn something from.

--I had a horrible teacher in art that conditioned me to hate historical art and studies because he replaced every independent assessment with appropriation and written comparison. Then another teach who wasn't even mine lent me an ancient copy of ecyclopaedia of sci-fi and fantasy art and built me a light box. Introduced me to reknowned artists. -- it all comes down to who you develop those opinions from. I can appreciate art for what it is now no matter the genre but i do hate bias.

--such an average point of view lol, craig mullins and hogarthe appreciate abstract art, remember that

--no need to embarrass yourself. spend 3 hours on learning about art history and it's no longer an elitist circlejerk for you. the only reason why this opinion so popular among concept artists etc. is because most of them dont spend at least 1% of the time they spend on drawing on learning about the history of the thing they are trying to do.

03 Feb 06:01
--Wonder if anyone's gone to the length of 3D printing a Water Bear. You can get a lot of virus models http://letters.cathalgarvey.me/wpcore/wp..._Model.jpg

--Glad to find another fan of tardigrades. Yeah, you're right, sometimes even the most "normal" or mundane things can seem really weird or abstract with fresh eyes...
02 Feb 21:56
--Anyways it applies to many other things in life you are used to, if you look at them with a fresh look or an outside perspective, many of the common things can suddenly appear amazing or weird :D
02 Feb 21:54
--but you expect tardigrades to be weird, when you grow up you see penguins as fairly "normal" animals, but when you think about it with a fresh perspective they are quite the oddballs.
02 Feb 21:13
--Sometimes, though I think there's plenty of stranger things in nature than penguins...plenty of weird microscopic stuff like coccolithophores and tardigrades!

--ive been doing areas of interest like individual characters in separate documents and then importing them back
02 Feb 10:52
--I usually work at about 3k pixels, but it's not something i really think about, but usually over 5k starts gettin laggy :>
02 Feb 09:52
--I used to never go above 5000 pixels but recently I've found myself needing that extra detail
02 Feb 09:51
--Hi guyses and girlses, does anyone feel the need to make their photoshop documents over 5000 in width or height?
02 Feb 08:40
--the other option is youtube(levelUP style) but it crashes if you use big files or brushes
02 Feb 08:32
--what well known artists stream on twitch? search options look quite crappy
02 Feb 08:14

02 Feb 02:59
--Eyliana: as long as you did something, it ain't useless! Cracked: Ouch man! Good thing it didn't impede your doing art!
02 Feb 02:27
--Ugh, having to study and having the urge to draw doesn't go well together x_x What a useless day
02 Feb 02:10
--ow, I cut myself once when trying to split an apple in the dumbest way lol. It was right at the outward segment of my index finger. I just sucked on the wound and couldnt concentrate at all. I still cringe at that memory.
