--but yeah, somethings gotta take a back seat for a while...then shift into the drivers seat when the time is right
28 Jan 20:30
--Focus on one thing at a time, but string them all together :) I also want to write more...and fudge it I will dammit
28 Jan 20:18
--Well my day became just a bit more efficient, listening to podcasts and driving seems like a fine combination :)
28 Jan 20:17
--Tell me about it, theres so much things i wanna do and learn like (Languages and Music) yet theres only so much stuff i can do in a day.
28 Jan 20:14
--I'd love to learn writing, sadly there is only so much time in a day (and life).
28 Jan 20:03
--If after 11 or so seasons of the podcast you need more content for your daily Sanderson fix, there's another goldmine: http://www.writeaboutdragons.com/brandon_w2012/ Some of the world building and networking information is useful to visual artists too.
28 Jan 18:51
--No probs. I'm about 7 episodes in (only 15 mins each) and they are concise and super informative....not like most art podcasts which are insane amounts of bullsh$t
28 Jan 18:30
--Intresting, I really like his writing! Thanks for the link, I'll check it out :)
28 Jan 18:08
--Just got linked to a brilliant podcast on writing by Brandon Sanderson. Check it out if you are into writing: http://www.writingexcuses.com/season001/

--read "the natural way to draw" by kimon niccolaides, He teaches you how gesture teaches you literally everything, anatomy, perspective, design, motion, energy, everything in drawing can be learned through gesture. I've never met another artist who's actually finished his book, but i have learned 80% of my abilities through niccolaides approach, it worked for me :)

--Hey does anyone use the l'ecorche iphone app? since the newest version it's been completely fucked for me. can't even install the old version anymore.
28 Jan 09:35
--I think that entire idea of timed gesture drawing is that you cannot draw details, because there isn't time for it.
28 Jan 08:46
--I read somewhere the idea of 60 second poses/sketching is to try to stop your.. (Right?) side of the brain from getting involved with the creativity side.
28 Jan 08:39
--Sixty second poses doesn't work for me. I recommend to go without timer and take time to properly look at the pose. This will teach you more than hundreds of shitty quick ones, in my opinion. I like book Force by Michael Mattesi.
28 Jan 08:23
--draw 1000 sixty second figures from quickposes and your drawings will be a lot more dynamic ;), don't forget to apply from the mind!
28 Jan 07:04
--hey guys, quick question, do you guys have any references or any toturials on how to achieve more dynamic figures, like league of legends art for example, tought maybe hogarth but idk his stuff doesent seem to rub off on me
28 Jan 06:01
--But anyway, apart from books I should be getting one of every sketch workbook which were part of a recent kickstarter campaign. I'll post info on them when I grab 'em.
28 Jan 05:59
--God dangit... bought a bunch of books from 3Dtotal and one, ONE is on preorder so I have to wait for that before I get everything else. Stoopid.
28 Jan 05:17
--We know this is false, because we've been confronted by extreme closeups of Adam's face in hangouts repeatedly.
