--If I'm going to eat a plant I'll harvest it. If I'm going to butcher a chicken I will kill it, but I won't be an asshole about it. There is ongoing development regarding plant behaviour, and this is what I find hypocritical, that in a world of science when we know the various types of beings in existence, eating plants is ok but animal products are taboo because they have two eyes and four limbs like us. I don't respect the analogy of it being murder and it the morality argument drawing...

--In Australia we have some of the best facilities but many prefer supporting local producers, which as said in the beginning, I have experienced and have gained an appreciation for. Which means yes, Alco, I have hunted before. No sensible human being slices the throat of a living animal to bleed it out while still alive. That's cruel and cuts corners and also spoils what good the animal could provide.

--America. because of how vast it is and the economical situation, has a HUGE problem with ILLEGAL slaughterhouses and farmsteads. Much of which sells horse and mule in place of beef.

--As far as I've read, it has not yet been proven that plants suffer or feel pain, since those are mostly felt in beings which have brains. You're telling me that you're ok knowing that animals are being killed in order to be eaten, because

--But again even if it's vastly unexplored territory there's a lot of talk about cultivated animals being exempt from consumption and analogous to the holocaust but it's A.OK to decimate plants, because they're immobile? Because they haven't a brain like more obvious vertebrates? It's proven they experience pain, and just as they say we've been indoctrinated, desensitized even...

--Aaaand it's also unsustainable if the general population only ate plant and whole foods. Humans. We're a problem. I've only seen the deer population argument used by people who defend their guns - an excuse for their butch american lifestyle. Again, there's reason people say 'Vegans...' with such a tone when they reach for something to use as a soap box. But, 'tis the internet...
