--Rshin, a bit weird to ask *here* for *other* places to go, huh? :D Not sure if permanoobs is still active, cubebrush has a community I think, so do some of the more popular YT streamers (like Sycra). And of course some forums that have been around a while, like polycount or conceptart.org, depending on what kinds of art your friend is interested in, and which size/vibe of community.

Sula, for me it helps to remind myself "These thoughts are part of the journey, almost all people have to go through these days" - keep working regardless (or allow yourself some time off, if you can), and remember, even though there will always be *more* to learn, you have come a very long way already.
