--Studying anatomy is one part of it, but studying design could be done in a million different ways. Going to a park and looking at the scenery, take a few photos. Hell even watching movies increases your design skill when you have the chance to watch tv

--Aaah, it's funny how many of us brush off when our art seniors tell us to "take breaks". It's only when shit happens to us that we're like "lol guys, take breaks cuz injuries suck arse". Sucks to hear, Kurt. That looks nasty on all kinds of pain levels. Now, I hope people learn ONCE AND FOR ALL to take goddamned breaks--!!!!

--postage stamp sized wacom is why my right arm is crippled.. like, it' honestly feels like I've broken something inside my arm it hurts that much, so seriously, get a bigger working surface if you are going to do a lot of digital, set your pressure settings to super sensitive so you are not exerting to much pressure while drawing, and take LOTS of breaks... learning to write, draw, brush your teeth, eat etc all over again with your off hand isn't fun

--sometimes. but i think this mostly stems from my lack of a good drawing angle. leaving my wrist extended for long periods of time. also using a small tablet doesn't help at all.
