Oh, as a heads up for the EDrocks assignment thingie - the timezone here has just changed ;-; freeking lost an hour.. grah, GIB IT BACK! It's 10am instead of 9am here.. so I guess that means you have an extra hour now to get stuff in.

Yeah. :) I'm still kind of insecure because I don't have much of an income.. Country I'm living in doesn't speak English as a first language, and it's been taking me awhile to learn this language.. :P

Well, my government tends to be pretty good. Depending on where you live in the country. I'm in a nice spot, I guess. But, only because I have the support of my doctor and the couple of psychiatrists I was working with because of my ADHD.

The last time I had to deal with welfare here, i had $5 in my account which the bank wouldn't let me withdraw - had to maintain that as a working balance so they could charge me fees for using the account.. yey.. I was 2k in debt which /had/ to be paid, and the cow who was my case worker wouldn't give me a food grant because I still had $5 and that was enough to live off according to her -_- And when I asked about jobs, they kept saying there were non I was qualified for..

The government services here aren't always so helpful.

Which country?

I don't need to be pessimistic about it though.. I'm in a good position. The government's got my back. Can't say the same for most people... I'll be able to try different jobs through the government and find something that works.

Yeah RP, I don't have education, so I'm only there through the government.. It's temporary. I wish I could work there for real, though.. Sigh. Looks like I might end up stocking shelves for the rest of my life if I don't get awesome at art. :P

heh, my job there is actually not that stressy. same routine every day, no emotional tax and reliable colleagues. Sometimes if have to work 2-4 fulltime weeks but its only a couple times per year. can't complain. its also forcing me to manage my time better because i have to get up at such a weird time, which is really good

Blender and Autodesk are supposed to be much simpler than zbrush.

You try getting a job at a library here you need a damn degree. That, or volunteer without pay.

hmm so technical... i dont think i'll ever get deep into 3d until they make it as simple and intuitive as sculpting clay with your hands. i always feel like i'm specializing into something too limiting when I learn 3d. sketchup is enough for me :D

btw here is an interesting thing: http://www.highexistence.com/alternate-sleep-cycles/ sleeping 8h a day in one piece may not be the most effective way to do it. I'm thinking about setting up another cycle. my boss at my dayjob sleeps 2x3h each day and I thought he was crazy but he actually never looks tired. maybe we are a little like cats after all
