--I've got a guy coming over this arvo to build a new comp. The power unit blew up. I want to optimize it for animation and 3D just for in future so we've got a 750w power supply to support new graphics and 4x4gb ram. As amit said, ram is really all you need for 2D. Just if you are going to upgrade the graphics make sure your computer can take it.

--The graphics card is a bit less important for painting, more for moving stuff like in games. It all helps when you have a dedicated gpu of course, but painting flat is all about Ram, processor, and have if you have an ssd hard drive really blazing quick

--You want a decent graphics card, most /are/ these days, but go for gaming style graphics cards not onboard generic with motherboard shit - you need an actual graphics card

--Yea book, I guess its one thing to paint in low key lighting setting and another thing to paint.. like Rapoza. But yea, even that term "Rapoza style" has like no focus now... because he has so many styles haha. Which is awesome.
