--Yeah when google took over youtube I had to make an account but it would only take my real name and I couldn't change it. It was very anti-anonymity. It would actually show errors saying "that doesn't look like a real name".

--someone drew my two main chars from my post apoc novel - I had written nothing beyond vague ideas.. he had such a hard time getting me to give clear details, because I had this idea in my head but no words for it
21 Sep 10:24
--and yep.. I finally clicked that design is like writing.. stuff is falling into place slowly.. the funny thing is, when I write I /deliberately/ don't describe my characters too much, to allow the reader to have their own mental image, so nailing down details is weird
21 Sep 10:23
--oh.. crap.. I forgot about the calender.. I have zero clue how to use that stuff.. I have an aversion to google taking over my world, will have to see if yandex does something similar I can shuffle it into
21 Sep 10:18
--Same. With what Amit said about design has me thinking more about the content than the detail. Once data clucks over tomorrow got to sync his calendar fir the environment mentorship and get myself organised.

--I'd like 2weeks to do it in, but I'd still put it off to the last minute *shrugs*

--Speaking of idea generators... I was going through my folders and found something I put together a while back. It's pretty hilarious in it's grammar mistakes, but fun. Hit Ctrl-R to regenerate the prompt :) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...edit#gid=0

--Yeah, it really does help just to power through. :) Well, I'm off! Thanks for the chat, Punky. I think you've helped me a lot with my Deathline ideas. :D Hope that your 3d forms and lighting studies/applications/imaginations/memories help you a ton too!
21 Sep 08:32
--I didn't draw people for /so/ long because I was bad at it.. now, i do figure drawing practice, but I actually draw people /anyway/ and it's helped a ton, just confidence, stuff doesn't have to be perfect
21 Sep 08:30
--Being open to drawing my ideas even if I'm not at a level to express them seems to make me more open to actually -having- ideas.
21 Sep 08:30
--Oh yep.. that's why I did my comic challenge, to just do it.. waiting until you're good enough is like waiting until hell freezes over,
21 Sep 08:29
--It was.. Soil is the property of trees, and the trees are slaves to the soil. It was based off of.. In the book, the guy was using an analogy and saying, "People aren't a property of food anymore than trees are the property of soil" or something like that.. And I was like.. BUT WHAT IF THEY -WERE-!?
21 Sep 08:28
--I got an idea from a book I was reading that I'm planning to draw. I'm not going to worry about drawing my ideas 'when I get good' anymore. This was a silly self-criticism that was just holding me back. :)
21 Sep 08:27
--it makes you /think/ too.. as creativity is a muscle, the more you have to use it the easier it gets
21 Sep 08:27
--mhm, I've done prompts from them as well.. just generally trying to make it interesting
21 Sep 08:27
--There was one of a man throwing a pear, or something.. I was gonna draw it, but.. I didn't. lol
21 Sep 08:26
--Hey, kinda sounds like an 'idea generator' that I came across.. Might've been here, even.
21 Sep 08:25
--yep, I think I'm going to continue to try and find amusing prompts.. yesterday was "a shady man selling lizards from a suitcase"
21 Sep 08:23
--I have a group over on dA called improvement daily, and I found some really amusing drawing prompts from a cartoonist that are the list this month, that's made me do at least one drawing a day since I started it in feb
